On the Lamborghini Countach’s 50-year anniversary, the carmaker introduced a new sportscar, the 2022 Countach LPI 800-4 as a limited-production, exorbitantly priced successor to the original. You can’t have it, but you might be able to save up for one of a series of this poster worthy car that Lamborghini has released.
Lamborghini had commissioned artists from around the world to create these posters. The one you see above is from Italian artist Lorenzo Ceccotti. “He leveraged hardcore minimalism and high-tech vibes, harnessing simple and bold shapes that cut through bright, vibrant colors,” says Lamborghini.
Germany-based graphic designers at Shy.Studio went with a classic 80’s aesthetic and an original Countach colour scheme. “The classic Lamborghini green is the primary color of the composition and functions as the main light source in the piece, playing off surfaces to generate new shades that exalt the car’s unmistakable lines.”
Other artists are Yegor Zhuldybin from Russia, Andreas Wannerstedt from Sweden, and Omar Aqil from Pakistan. Omar’s minimalist artwork (pictured above) is inspired by the technological evolution that’s taken place since the first Countach came out.
Lamborghini’s Countach revival is a V12-powered sports car with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that pushes 780PS to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Lamborghini claims the Countach LPI 800-4 can sprint from 0-100 in 2.8 seconds.
But you can’t buy it, and that’s for two reasons – all 112 models have been spoken for, and each of them are priced at the equivalent of Rs 19.5 crore. That’s nearly three times the price of a Huracan, excluding the shipping costs, customs duties and other taxes involved in getting to own one of these in India.
The posters are on sale now, and you can buy them on the Lamborghini Store website here.
