Hero Motocorp recently launched the Xtreme 250R and the XPulse 210 in India. The bookings are finally open for both of these motorcycles and the deliveries should commence within the coming weeks. Both of these motorcycles can be booked for a refundable booking amount of Rs 10,000. Aspiring customers can book their desired Hero motorcycle from the official website or directly at any Hero dealership.
The Hero Xtreme 250R is the brand’s first offering within the 250cc segment. It gets a 249cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor which produces 30PS and 25Nm. These power figures make it the most powerful Hero motorcycle on sale. The power figures are also quite good when compared to other motorcycles in the segment.
This street naked gets a steel trellis frame along with a USD fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock. It gets a 320mm front and 230mm rear petal disc brake setup along with dual-channel ABS. At 167.7kg (kerb), it's also one of the lightest motorcycles in the segment.
In terms of features, it offers all-LED lights along with a fully digital instrument cluster. It gets Bluetooth smartphone connectivity and supports turn-by-turn navigation and SMS & call alerts.
At a price of Rs 1,79,900 (ex-showroom Delhi), the motorcycle gets decent power figures along with an interesting design.
The Hero XPulse 210 is a successor to the XPulse 200. The motorcycle gets a whole new styling along with 2 exciting colour options. It has a 210cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor which makes 24.6PS and 20.7Nm. The new XPulse 210 produces significantly more power and torque as compared to the 200.
This new dual-sport motorcycle gets a double-cradle frame along with 41mm conventional telescopic fork and an adjustable monoshock. Its 210mm front and 205mm rear wheel travel is a lot more than other dual-sport and adventure motorcycles within the 200cc and 500cc segment. Along with this, the motorcycle also gets a 21-inch front and an 18-inch rear spoke wheel. The XPulse 210 gets a 276mm front and 220mm rear disc brake setup with switchable dual-channel ABS.
In terms of features, the XPulse 210 gets all-LED lights along with a 4.2-inch TFT display. It supports smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth along with turn-by-turn navigation and SMS & call alerts.
The XPulse 210 is priced at Rs 1,85,800 (ex-showroom Delhi). It gets a more powerful engine than before, along with better hardware to help it perform better while off-roading.
Both of these are impressive motorcycles from Hero Motocorp, at least on paper. The Hero Xtreme 250R looks appealing and offers some good power figures. Whereas the new XPulse 210 has solved the only downside the XPulse 200 had, and that was its lower power figures.
