As we are nearing the first auto Auto Expo in three years, carmakers have started dropping hints about their plans for their displays at the show and Tata is the most recent to jump on the bandwagon. A few posts on its social media platform give us a vague clue, so let’s take a look at what it might have planned:

The posts on Tata’s social media handle suggest that safety will be one of the key focuses of the brand going into the show. This means the likes of the Tata Safari and Harrier will be the ones to get ADAS functionality, as suggested by our spy shots previously, which spotted the radar system for the feature. None of the cars in its lineup get the autonomous driving feature but the upcoming expo will bring a change in that.
Tata plans to bolster its connected car features, which are currently offered in the majority of its products. The upgrade will likely improve the functionality of the existing features, while incorporating new ones for added convenience and comfort. This could also be accompanied by revisions to the infotainment system on its vehicles, which to be fair, is a bit outdated in comparison to its competitors.

There has been a lot of noise corresponding to alternative cleaner fuel options and one of them that has been making the headlines is hydrogen powered fuel cell vehicles. Well, it looks like Tata will also be creating some ruckus as it plans to showcase a hydrogen powered prototype likely as a technological showcase at its stand in January.

These three – safety, connectivity, and cleaner fuel technology (towards zero emissions) seem to be the pillars of focus for the Indian marquee in the upcoming 2023 Auto Expo. While we don’t have any sources to confirm this, there could be a few concept displays as well but it’ll only get confirmed as time goes by.
