The Hunter becomes the Hunted: The updated bike gets feature updates, revised rear suspension & a couple of new colour schemes

Quick Highlights:

  • 2025 Royal Enfield Hunter 350 spied before official launch on April 26

  • Gets 2 new colour schemes, updated suspension and has an LED headlight

  • Will most likely command a premium of Rs 5,000 over the outgoing version

Royal Enfield’s most affordable motorcycle is all set to get an update this weekend, but before that, the Hunter just got ‘Hunted’ in the wild. The updated Royal Enfield Hunter 350 has been spied before its official launch on April 26, 2025, in India. The bike is seen in two new colour schemes, gets an LED headlight and updated rear suspension. We expect the updated bike to command a premium over the outgoing version.

Our Take

Royal Enfield is known to have beautiful paint schemes, as we have seen on pretty much all of their bikes. Even the recent ones like the Classic 650 and the Goan Classic 350 have been done beautifully well. However, this time around, things seem to be…..‘different’.

The graphics design in the two new red and white colour schemes don’t really look cohesive in our opinion. The red colour scheme honestly looks like someone has done a hurried job of wrapping the bike’s tank with duct tape all over. On the other hand, the rainbow-like arc with the ‘RO’ logo in the bike with the white scheme looks very disjointed in our opinion. It seems that the majority of the reactions on social media aren’t really favourable either. We feel the already existing Rebel Red and the Dapper White look great, and feel premium too.

Another noticeable change is the addition of an LED headlight. The headlight is not really new as we’ve seen the same one on other Royal Enfield bikes.

A major change on the upcoming Hunter is its rear suspension. The current setup has the spring coiled over 10 times and has a linear setup, while the upcoming Hunter, which was spied, has the spring coiled over 13/14 times in a progressive way. The Hunter 350 is known to have a stiff rear suspension, and we hope Royal Enfield has addressed this issue with the revised shock absorbers. Will it actually be better than before? Well, we’ll have the answer only after we get a chance to ride the updated motorcycle.

The spy shots clearly indicate that the colours belong to the Dapper or Rebel variants. The current Dapper colour variants cost Rs 1,69,656 whereas the Rebel colour variants retail at Rs 1,74,655. Expect the updated version to cost around Rs 5,000 over one of these variants.
