Honda has added another Activa to its portfolio, but instead of the Activa 7G with substantial updates, the Japanese bikemaker has launched the Activa 6G Premium edition, a special colour series of the existing popular 110cc scooter.
The Honda Activa 6G Premium edition is priced at Rs 75,400 (ex-showroom Delhi), commanding a premium of Rs 1,000 over the DLX variant. In the 110cc scooter segment, the Activa 6G rivals the likes of the TVS Jupiter and Hero Pleasure Plus.

With the Premium edition, the Activa 6G will now be available in three variants: Standard priced at Rs 72,400, DLX at 74,400 and the newly launched Premium edition at Rs 75,400 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
While the overall design of the scooter remains the same as the Standard and DLX 6G variants, the Premium edition flaunts three new elegant colour schemes called Matte Sangria Red Metallic, Matte Marshal Green Metallic and Pearl Siren Blue.
Firstly, the Premium edition rolls on golden wheels and gets a gold-coated chrome garnish on the front apron. Adding to the elegance is the 3D gold coated ‘Activa’ logo on the side panels with ‘Premium’ written right under it.

The inner body and seat get a contrasting brown colour, giving a rather dual tone appeal to the scooter.
Apart from these cosmetic changes, the bike remains completely unchanged. It is still powered by the same fuel-injected, 109.51cc engine, producing 7.79PS and 8.84Nm. The frugal and reliable engine will be a good fit for this premium-edition scooter.
The Honda Activa has always been a reliable and frugal scooter for city commutes; and with the Premium edition, it does the same job with more elegance. However, Honda could have blessed the Activa 6G Premium edition with a front disc brake option, alloy wheels and a digital instrument console, especially considering that its primary rival, the TVS Jupiter, gets all three.
