Aprilia RS And Tuono 457 Owners: Good News For You

• Aprilia now extends warranty on the Tuono 457 and the RS 457 in India

Aprilia has recently been in hot waters due to alleged issues with the RS 457’s engine. While the bikemaker clarified things by issuing a statement, Aprilia India has made the deal even sweeter for current and future owners of the Tuono 457 and the RS 457 in India.  

A Sweet Deal

When the Aprilia Tuono 457 was launched, the only thing we felt could've been done better is the warranty. The bike came with a warranty of 3 years or 36,000km, as was the case with the RS 457 as well. Looks like Aprilia has taken notice, and has extended the warranty period on both bikes. They now come with a 4-year or 48,000km warranty as standard. 

The cherry on top is that the extended warranty is applicable for new as well as existing owners of the bike. This is provided there are no unauthorised aftermarket modifications done to it.

Getting A Second-Hand Aprilia? Worry Not!

For those who are in the market looking for a used RS 457 or the Tuno 457, Aprilia India now offers a transferable warranty on their bikes. If any vehicle, which is under warranty and has been sold to another person, the warranty will continue as long as it is applicable. So, say you have sold your year-old RS 457, the second owner will now still have 3 years of warranty applicable on the bike.
