The 2025 Tata Sierra has been launched in India, starting at Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The iconic nameplate makes a strong return with a modern, premium twist. Along with the pricing and variants, Tata has also pulled the curtains off the SUV's interiors, giving us a detailed look at what the new-age Sierra offers inside. From its futuristic dashboard and triple screen layout to its comfort-focused seating and feature-rich cabin, here is how the all-new Sierra looks and feels from behind the wheel and in the passenger seat.
The first impression inside the Sierra is hard to miss. The dashboard layout is all new and immediately makes the cabin feel wide and airy. Tata has gone with a soft beige base colour mixed with black inserts and subtle chrome touches to give it a calm yet upmarket vibe.

The big highlight here is that triple-screen glass panel housing: one for the driver, one in the centre, and another for the front passenger. It's bold, modern, and very different from what we've seen in Tata's cars so far. Mind you, not all variants get this setup; lower trims will feature a more conventional two-screen layout instead.

The familiar four-spoke Tata steering wheel makes its way here too, with controls for music and calls, and an illuminated Tata logo that lights up quite nicely in the dark.
At first glance, the thick metal strip under the centre AC vents seems to be just a stylish design element. However, it is actually part of the 12-speaker JBL Black sound system and functions as a soundbar. There is a small Dolby Atmos branding on the dash, telling anyone that the Sierra means business when it comes to its audio experience.

The Sierra's seats are upholstered in a beige-and-white leatherette combination that ends up giving the cabin a more relaxed lounge feeling rather than your typical SUV interior. They also look to be well-padded and supportive, designed mainly for comfort.

The front seats have ventilation, and the driver's seat has 8-way power adjustment, but the co-passenger seat is not electrically adjustable; it has a manual Boss mode, though, which lets the rear passengers push it forward for some extra legroom if required.

There are a total of three headrests, one foldable armrest with cupholders, and ample legroom at the back for long drives. Colour contrasts continue here, too, with subtle beige and brown tints adding a premium feel inside the cabin.
The rear is not an afterthought, either; passengers get dedicated AC vents, sunshades for privacy and protection against harsh sunlight, and seatback pockets for storing smaller items. In many ways, this feels like Tata wants rear-seat passengers to travel just as comfortably as those in the front.

One of the most noticeable features on the inside of the Sierra is its panoramic sunroof. It reaches across almost the entire length of the roof and allows a great deal of natural light inside. This makes the cabin feel much more open and airy while driving in the daytime.

Add dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, and connected-car tech, and the Sierra starts to feel properly equipped for everyday comfort.
Safety hasn't taken a backseat either. The Sierra gets six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and front and rear parking sensors with Level 2 ADAS. Features such as Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane-Keeping Assist make it closer to what we normally expect from more expensive SUVs. Going by Tata's recent performance in safety tests, the Sierra is expected to do well on that front too.

According to Tata, the Sierra gets a 622L boot, which, combined with the boxy shape, promises a roomy luggage area. The spare wheel is mounted underneath the floor in the boot area, freeing up space for bags and travel gear to make it quite practical on the road.

The Sierra is offered with a new 1.5-litre T-GDI turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine alongside a new1.5-litre NA Petrol. The 1.5-litre T-GDi turbo-petrol is offered only with a 6-speed AT, whereas the other two options are offered with 6-speed manual transmissions as well. The petrol makes 160 PS and 255 Nm, while the diesel churns out up to 118 PS and 280 Nm. Here are the detailed specifications of these powertrains:

The 2025 Tata Sierra has been priced from Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom). With this, the Sierra will compete with best-sellers like the the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Victoris, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor, Honda Elevate. It could also be considered as an alternative to its sibling, the Tata Curvv.

Detailed pricing will follow in the first week of December.
The new Tata Sierra feels like more than just a comeback; it's a clear step ahead in Tata's interior design. The cabin feels modern without being overwhelming, premium without trying too hard, and comfortable without sacrificing practicality.
From a strictly interior perspective, the 2025 Sierra already feels like one of the most inviting spaces in its segment.
