The Tata Curvv EV looks unique from its rivals such as the MG ZS EV and BYD Atto 3, mainly because of its SUV-coupe design.
The front-end, with its blanked off grille, gives the Curvv EV’s fascia a minimalistic look. You get a full-width LED DRL (which also shows the charging status) and the LED headlights are placed in triangular housing. The airdam below has contrasting silver stacks and feeds in air to keep the internal components and battery packs cool.
In profile, the obvious highlight is the sloping roofline, which gives the Curvv its unique design. To add a dash of ruggedness, you get gloss black cladding around the wheel arches, which are nicely filled by 18-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels. In what is a first for any Tata car, there are also flush door handles with lighting that looks premium.

The highlight at the rear-end ought to be the connected LED tail lamps. The full width lighting strips at the front and rear also come with a welcome and goodbye animation that looks really cool.

The Tata Curvv EV is offered in 5 colour options: Flame Red, Pristine White, Empowered Oxide, Virtual Sunrise and Pure Grey. Do note that certain of these hues are available in limited variants.
Step inside the Tata Curvv and you’ll notice that things look familiar as the Curvv EV utilises the same dashboard layout as the Nexon EV. It isn’t necessarily a bad thing as the Nexon’s dash still looks fresh with the freestanding touchscreen infotainment system and touch-based controls for the climate control.
Tata has also made tweaks to give the Curvv EV’s cabin its unique identity. For starters, the dash comes finished in a black / white hue with silver inserts. The four-spoke steering wheel has been lifted off from the Harrier and Safari. And lastly, there is an ambient lighting strip on the dash that extends into the doorpads as well. A highlight is the presence of rear seat recline functionality, adding a layer of comfort for those who sit in the back. It also comes boasting a 500-litre boot space, which can be opened up to 973 litres with the seats folded down.
Like any other Tata cars, the Curvv EV comes loaded to the gills with features. Highlights include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car tech, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a 320W 9-speaker JBL sound system, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, multi-colour ambient lighting, a wireless phone charger and a gesture-controlled powered tailgate.
Passenger safety is taken care of by six airbags (as standard), ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, electronic parking brake with auto hold and most importantly, Level-2 ADAS.
The Tata Curvv EV is the second model to be based on the carmaker’s Acti.ev dedicated electric vehicle platform. Like other Tata EVs, the newly launched Curvv EV comes in two powertrain options: Medium Range and Long Range. These variants get varying battery packs and power outputs, delivering a claimed range of up to 585 km. You can check out the detailed specifications of the Tata Curvv in this table below:

The Tata Curvv EV is also vehicle to load (V2L) and vehicle to vehicle (V2V), meaning one can use the charge in the battery pack to power up appliances or even juice up another EV. It also supports fast charging capabilities., juicing up from 10 to 80 percent in 40 minutes using a 70 kW charger. The Tata Curvv EV also comes with Acoustic Vehicle Alert System, which basically emits a low pitch sound on the outside under 20 kmph to alert pedestrians.
The Tata Curvv EV goes up against the MG ZS EV, BYD Atto 3 and the higher-end variants of the Mahindra XUV400. It will also face competition from upcoming models such as the Hyundai Creta EV and Maruti Suzuki eVX.
