All Cars Launched In India In April 2025: New-gen Premium SUVs, Special Editions And MY Updates!

List includes a couple of new SUVs, model year updates, and special editions of a few models featuring cosmetic changes

The month of April primarily saw the launch of two new premium SUVs, along with special editions and model year updates. These special edition models not only feature cosmetic enhancements, but are also often preferred by buyers for their distinct appeal over the standard model. Additionally, model year updates were also rolled out for a couple of compact SUVs as well as a premium electric sedan. 

With that in mind, let’s take a closer look at all the cars launched in April 2025 along with their key highlights.

Tata Curvv Dark And Curvv EV Dark Edition

Tata Motors continues to expand its Dark portfolio with the launch of the Curvv Dark and Curvv EV Dark Editions. The Curvv Dark is available with the top-spec Accomplished S and Accomplished +A variants, with both T-GDI turbo-petrol and diesel engine options. As for the Curvv EV, the Dark Edition is offered only with the flagship Empowered +A variant. Compared to their respective standard variants, the Curvv Dark and Curvv EV Dark Edition command a price premium of Rs 32,000 and Rs 25,000, respectively.

Tata Curvv EV Dark Edition

Design highlights on both models include blacked-out styling throughout the exterior, giving them a stealthy look. Inside, an all-black colour scheme is complemented by piano black accents that gel along with the overall theme. Since the Dark Editions are offered with the top-end variants of the Curvv and Curvv EV, you get a feature-rich cabin in both. Additionally, the Curvv EV Dark gets rear sun shades for added privacy. Prices for the Curvv Dark Edition range between Rs 16.49 lakh and Rs 19.52 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Curvv EV Dark Edition is priced at Rs 22.24 lakh (ex-showroom).

Citroen Dark Edition Models

Citroen launched the Dark Edition for its C3 hatchback, Aircross SUV, and the Basalt SUV-coupe. Design-wise, these editions feature a black exterior shade with dark chrome elements, a common theme across all three models. That said, they retain the dual-tone alloy from the standard car, which gives it a nice contrast. Inside, the cabin gets an all-black colour scheme with red accents that looks sporty. 

Basalt Dark Edition

All three Dark Edition cars gets the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that puts out 110 PS and up to 205 Nm. Meanwhile, the C3 Dark Edition is also available with an 82 PS 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. Notably, all three Dark Edition models will be available for a limited time only. Prices for the C3 Dark Edition start from Rs 8.38 lakh and go up to Rs 10.19 lakh (ex-showroom). The Basalt Dark Edition is priced between Rs 12.8 lakh and Rs 14.1 lakh (ex-showroom). The Aircross Dark Edition ranges from Rs 13.13 lakh to Rs 14.27 lakh (ex-showroom).

2025 Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara

Maruti launched the updated Grand Vitara, with prices starting from Rs 11.42 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2025 update brings in features like 8-way powered driver’s seat, electronic parking brake, and an air purifier. It also makes the panoramic sunroof more accessible as Maruti is now offering it in new lower variants. Safety has also been enhanced, as the updated Grand Vitara now comes equipped with six airbags as standard. 

Additionally, the strong hybrid petrol powertrain is now available from the Delta+ variant onwards, making it more accessible to buyers. And lastly, the all-wheel drive option will now be available with the automatic gearbox instead of the manual. Prices for the 2025 Grand Vitara go up to Rs 20.68 lakh (ex-showroom), and it continues to rival SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Honda Elevate.

2025 Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder

The Grand Vitara’s rebadged model, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, also received similar updates. It also now offers features like a powered driver’s seat, six airbags as standard, and sunshades for second-row passengers. Notably, the all-wheel-drive variants of the 2025 Hyryder are now available only with the 6-speed automatic transmission, which were earlier offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Prices for the 2025 Urban Cruiser Hyryder starts from Rs 11.34 lakh and go up to Rs 20.19 lakh (ex-showroom).

2025 Skoda Kodiaq

Skoda launched the new-gen Kodiaq in India with a refreshed design and new features. While the exterior design is evolutionary, it gets a brand new dashboard layout that is much more upmarket than before. The Skoda Kodiaq 2025 is equipped with a larger 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, ventilated, heated and massaging front seats as well as a 13-speaker Canton sound system. Powering the 2025 Kodiaq is the 2-litre turbo-petrol engine that delivers 204 PS and 320 Nm, with a claimed mileage of 14.86 kmpl. Prices for the 2025 Kodiaq range between Rs 46.89 lakh and Rs 48.69 lakh (ex-showroom).

Skoda Kodiaq

Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line

Volkswagen brought the new-generation Tiguan to India in its top-spec R-Line variant with sportier looks. Inside, the performance-oriented theme continues with an all-black cabin contrasted by blue accents throughout.

Feature highlights include a 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, three-zone climate control, massaging front-row seats, and a panoramic sunroof. The Tiguan R-Line is powered by a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 204 PS and 320 Nm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Tiguan R-Line is priced at Rs 49 lakh (ex-showroom).

2025 BYD Seal

BYD has launched the 2025 Seal at Rs 41 lakh (ex-showroom). Notably, the mid-spec and top-spec variants witness a price hike of Rs 15,000. Features such as wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are now standard, and the climate control system has been updated for improved convenience. As for the suspension, the Seal now comes equipped with the brand’s DiSus-C system, which electronically adjusts the dampers in real-time to enhance comfort and stability. There are no other changes, and the Seal continues to be offered with the same battery pack options.

2025 Range Rover Evoque Autobiography

Range Rover launched the Evoque Autobiography at Rs 69.5 lakh (ex-showroom), replacing the Dynamic SE variant. It primarily features cosmetic enhancements on both the exterior and interior to give it a more premium appeal. It also gets a 14-speaker Meridian surround sound system for an improved audio experience. The Evoque Autobiography is offered with a 250 PS 2-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 204 PS 2-litre diesel engine, both equipped with mild-hybrid technology.

BMW Z4 Pure Impulse Edition

The BMW Z4 Pure Impulse Edition was launched in early April with cosmetic and powertrain updates. Exterior changes include two new paint options and styling tweaks that give it a more aggressive look. While it continues to be powered by the same 340 PS 3-litre turbocharged petrol engine, it is also available with a 6-speed manual gearbox alongside the existing 8-speed automatic. 

BMW Z4

The manual transmission variant accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.6 seconds, while the automatic is slightly quicker at 4.5 seconds. Prices for the Z4 Pure Impulse Edition start at Rs 96.9 lakh (ex-showroom) for the automatic gearbox, while the manual transmission is priced at Rs 97.9 lakh (ex-showroom).
