Another day, another EV launch. However, this time it is not from a big manufacturer, but a Nashik-based start-up called Kyte Energy. The company has launched its high-speed electric scooter called the Magnum Pro at Rs 80,999 (ex-showroom).
The Kyte Magnum Pro gets a very sporty and youthful design. It gets handlebar cowl-mounted indicators, while the halogen headlight with LED DRL has been placed on the front apron. The tail section seems sporty, however, the company has not shared many pictures of the product. In fact, the design looks exactly the same as Kyte Magnum.
Under the sporty garb, there is a hub motor, and while the details have not been revealed yet, it is claimed to sprint from 0-40kmph in six seconds and achieve a top speed of 60kmph. Kyte has used a removable battery pack consisting of two individual units. It takes a claimed three to four hours for a full charge and can give a range of upto 160km.

The Kyte Magnum Pro flaunts a telescopic fork and dual shock absorber setup for its suspension duties while braking is handled by drum brakes at both ends. These brakes are backed by the safety net of the combined braking system.
Even though the hardware may not seem like the best in class, this e-scooter gets a bunch of tech-savvy features. Once paired with the dedicated mobile app, you can check information like trip history, GPS, vehicle security and vehicle information.
For its price, the Kyte Magnum Pro seems like an interesting proposition. However, the debut of the upcoming affordable Ola S1 variant will surely shake things up.
