Let's find out what sets the Oben Rorr apart from its competition

With the launch of its first electric motorcycle, the Rorr, Oben EV has entered the electric two-wheeler space. The Oben Rorr packs some great features and is priced competitively against its rivals. Read on to know the important things about the EV.

Neo-Retro Design
The Oben Rorr somewhat reminds us of the Honda CB300R, courtesy the neo-retro styling and a few similar body panels. The EV manufacturer has stayed true to the original digital renderings of the bike and we can clearly see that not much has changed from the process of renders to production. The most important element of the Rorr’s design would be the simple and minimalist styling following a neo-retro look, which is accentuated by the circular LED headlight setup.

Range
Unlike its rivals, the Tork Kratos and Revolt RV400, the Oben Rorr boasts of the longest IDC range of 200km, however, this won’t be the real world riding range. Oben claims that its electric motorcycle will offer a true range of 100km in the Havoc mode, 120km in the City mode and 150km range in the Eco mode. This makes it the e-bike with the highest range in the segment.

In Gujarat and Rajasthan the Rorr is priced at Rs 1,04,999 and Rs 1,14,999. All the state wise prices mentioned above are ex-showroom, post Fame II and state subsidies, which makes the e-motorcycle a more affordable one against its competitor. For perspective the Tork Kratos costs Rs 1,02,499 ex-showroom Delhi after the Fame II and state subsidies.

Waterproof Battery and Motor
At the core of the Oben Rorr is a 4.4kWh battery pack with a IP-67 waterproof rating, which means that the battery unit can be dropped into a body of water up to a meter deep for half an hour. The motor, on the other hand, is a 10kW frame-mounted one producing 4kW of continuous power and has a IP-65 waterproof rating. This means that the motor will be protected from low pressure water jets from any direction.
