At the launch of its first electric motorcycle, the Rorr, Bengaluru-based Oben EV announced that there will be a new product from the company arriving every six months for the next two years. Oben is targeting four electric two-wheelers by 2024, catering to different segments.
And before you ask it, yes, there will be an electric scooter from the company coming as well. Given the untapped electric motorcycle space, Oben’s Rorr has quite the opportunity, really. However, when venturing into scooters, the startup will need to introduce a formidable offering to take on the likes of the Ather 450X, Ola S1 and TVS iQube Electric.

Oben’s ambitious plan seems to have been set in motion with the launch of the Rorr. The electric motorcycle carries a sticker price of Rs 1,24,999 (ex-showroom, including FAME 2 subsidies) and can be availed for as low as Rs 99,999 in Maharashtra, thanks to state subsidies.
Bookings for the electric bike commence on March 18 for just Rs 999. Test rides are scheduled to begin from May, followed by deliveries in July.
