Q. Between Verna and VW Vento, which will be best to buy a car for my family?

However Vento is having latest German technology true automatic DSG (dual shift gears) based. Driving only in city will be comfortable on City and Verna. These are light vehicle and some what easy to maneuver. However if you are planning to drive long outside the city often, then Vento will be right choice as it is heavy, sturdy and much safer than other two makes. If you are Pro on technology but Vento but if you need to sell car often and need to get a good resale value then go for City and Verna. After sales services of Vento will be less average than other two.
Please decide whether you want petrol or diesel. if petrol I suggest vento tsi dsg 7 speedpros-Excellant drive 1.2 litre turbo charged ,sports mode is thrilling, also tiptronic manual.!! Independent suspension take roads without a jitter.Good safety features strong chassis. . Diesel TDI dsg have frugal power. Verna petrol is a CVT comes with 7 speed (earlier 5speed)diesel CVT 7 speed not that exciting. Excellent mileage in dsg tsi upto 18(yes) on open roads.Never comes with under par performance Mediocre in verna auto petrol cvt scenario is different when it comes to manual ..verna has 1.4 1.6 petrol crde diesel etc etc. vento has 3 variants in both petrol and diesel.petrol good but not fuel efficient.Diesel engine has niggles. Verdict-Petrol or diesel automatic go for vento Manual -try vento .bye .thanks .
Christopher | 4 years agoVento Diesel MANUAL. don't buy automatic vento. I have both manual and automatic. Manual - No mechanical repairs yet - car has been driven 1.7lacs kms. 2011 model. Automatic 2015 model - fly wheel replaced 2 times, battery replaced 2 times, fuel pump replaced once, steering rack replaced once. Ac condenser replaced once. 45000 kms driven non accidental car where the 2011 model met with an accident and yet there is no issue. if you are buying vento then make sure you buy 5 years extended warranty + 2 additional years. I've been told they are giving additional warranty on new models.
Shagrath | 5 years agoHonestly Vento's is a out & out drivers car. It has impeccable outer & interior build quality. Everything is build to last, precision handling, great steering feedback and a good diesel engine. That is where good things ends. Now coming down to the minuses it is quite old by todays standards in terms of looks and the platform it is based on.Putting it in simple words, it has been phased out long back from all other markets!! It Lacks space, luxury, features etc etc. Frankly list is long. This where Verna trumps Vento!! Simply it is the best C-segment car hands down. It might not be master of everything but certainly a very good jack of all trades.

Saurabh | 3 years agoFor a family car, safety comes first and therefore go for vento. The build quality is by far the best, all safety features included and its a drivers car. I am using a petrol automatic and have never felt the need to use the sports mode as it gives sufficient power in drive mode itself and the average in city with ac is 13.5.
Krishnanandh | 4 years agoBoth are good cars for a family use. However you get two different packages. Verna is a much more modern looking and offers lot of features. Vento has released a facelifted variant which looks decent. However I personally think the build quality of VWs are pretty good. German cars are offer good quality cars with good ride comfort. Both if them are good cars and in the end it comes to personal preference
Vish | 4 years agoBuy vento.... safety's first and thats where vento rises up higher than verna...and talking about build quality..no doubt its vento that wins...though nterior might look not so fresh bit classic..the material quality and built is great.. performance wise..vento can reach a top speed of 186km/hr and o to 100 in less than 11.5 seconds
