The R15 belts out decent power from its 155cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. But come on, who wouldn’t want more performance. This piggyback ECU requires around 40 mins to install, and gives you the option to toggle between two maps. Yes, you can download different maps from the brand’s website. Everything from the wiring harness to the zip ties are all part of the kit, so all you need to do is fit the wiring harness and install the maps. Powertronics also claims that even the throttle response improves.

As much as we love the aggressive seating position on the track, it eventually takes a toll on your back and wrists. Unfortunately, if you intend to stick to the stock tyre sizes, you aren’t left with any choice but to stick to the stock bias ply tyre at the front. However, you get decent options for the rear tyres, including the Apollo Alpha S1. With the ban on tyre imports, you no longer have the luxury to opt for the optional Metzeler tyres offered by Yamaha.
