The Indian automotive industry is one of the most competitive in the world. While automakers from around the world are trying to enter and establish themselves in India, brands which already have a good hold in the market are trying to outgun each other with different strategies. One such strategy is to organize customer-centric campaigns and, come November 11, Tata Motors will initiate a week-long mega service camp in India.
Under this programme, the automaker will offer a 40-point vehicle check-up, top wash and a range of value-added services. Tata Motors has partnered with nearly two-dozen suppliers across the country to offer up to 10 per cent discount on car accessories and value-added services. Car owners can also avail a discount of up to Rs 1,000 on new batteries. For customers who want to get a repair job or a service done for their cars, this camp will offer a discount of up to 20 per cent on original parts and labour charges.
Sharing his thoughts on this initiative, Dinesh Bhasin, head of customer support, passenger vehicles business unit, Tata Motors, said, “The nationwide mega service camp is an initiative which the company undertakes to ensure customers across the country can avail themselves of good value high-skilled services. In the last five editions, we have serviced over 5.8 lakh cars.”
Tata Motors will roll out this campaign across 527 dealerships in 281 locations in the country. This is the second service camp to be organized by the home-grown automaker in 2016. In July this year, Tata Motors had organized a free monsoon check-up camp.
