Did you know Suzuki sells three variants of the Burgman ranging from 125cc to 650cc in the international markets? Now, if rumours are to be believed the Japanese bike maker might be adding another variant to the list: the Burgman 180. As of now, the Japanese bike maker does not have any 180cc model in its lineup, so if Suzuki is making this scooter behind closed doors, it might be developing an all-new engine from the ground up.
Apart from the new engine, expect the scooter to sport an all-new aggressive design language, which will be different from the other Burgman variants. The new Burgman 180 could share its underpinnings with the Burgman 200 and the Burgman Street which is sold in India. So it might come equipped with the same suspension setup (telescopic fork at the front and a hydraulic monoshock at the rear) as the Burgman 200. The braking hardware might be similar as well.
Now, the main question here is, when will we get to see the new scooter in the flesh? There’s no official word yet but we expect Suzuki to unveil the scooter sometime next year.
