If crazy fast supercars with a dash of style fascinate you then McLaren has some piece of information to share. The British carmaker is set to display its special edition of the McLaren P1 hypercar and MSO 650S Spider supercar at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance this month. Crafted by the company's Special Operations division, the special edition models represent two of the potential configurations that clients can have built through the personalisation program.
The MSO P1 was commissioned by a North American customer who chose to have a Stirling Grey bodywork with contrasting McLaren Orange accents on the brake calipers located behind the body-coloured wheels. This new car flaunts a 24 carat gold heatshield around the engine bay and an iconel exhaust.
Inside, the cabin is draped in a combination of Alacantra and carbon fibre, while the carbon fibre racing seats come with a four-point harness. The upholstery gets Stone Grey binding and stitching , and also satin nickel air vents that round up the interiors.
The MSO 650S Spider has been crafted in collaboration with McLaren Newport Beach and McLaren Automotive Design Director Frank Stephenson. Upfront, this new customised car gets a Cerulean Blue paint scheme that compliments the contrast satin carbon fibre detailing on the front bumper, side intakes and the rear bumper’s central area and diffuser. This new car rides on 10-inch alloy wheels, and receives chrome exhaust finishers.
On the interior front, this new car gets carbon black leather upholstery with contrasting blue stitching, MSO branded carbon fibre sill panels, MSO leather bag with dark chrome metal inserts, a dedication plate and several other tweaks.
Both these cars will be showcased next week at the automotive charitable event in Pebble Beach, California.
