In a bid to refresh its RC lineup, KTM has launched new colours for the flagship RC 390, mid-spec RC 200 and the entry-level RC 125, in India. These colour options will be sold alongside the older colours. Thankfully, KTM isn’t charging extra for any of these colours. The price list is as follows:

    Models

    New colour options

    Already-existing colour scheme

    Price, ex-showroom Delhi

    KTM RC 125

    Dark Galvano

    Electronic Orange

    Rs 1,59,629

    KTM RC 200

    Electronic Orange

    Dark Galvano

    Rs 2,00,864

    KTM RC 390

    Metallic Silver

    Ceramic White

    Rs 2,53,184

Compared to the older colours, the new one in the KTM RC 125 gets a darker theme, whereas it’s the opposite with the KTM RC 200. It gets a brighter, more orange colour palette. The top-end KTM RC 390 gets an overload of silver with orange and white highlights no as opposed to the older black and white dual-tone pair with orange highlights. The new colours offer a bit of a variety in the RC lineup, and should help in garnering more sales.

KTM has not tinkered with the mechanicals of any of these bikes. The RC 125’s engine is good for 14.95PS and 12Nm whereas the KTM RC 200’s motor produces 25.8PS and 19.5Nm. The top-of-the-line KTM RC 390 makes a healthy 43.5PS and 35Nm. The three bikes employ inverted front fork and a rear monoshock, both sourced from WP. They also get a disc brake with radial caliper up front and a disc at rear with dual-channel disengageable ABS as standard.

While the KTM RC 125 goes up against the Yamaha R15 V3.0, the KTM RC 200 is a sportier alternative to the Bajaj Pulsar RS200. The lean, mean KTM RC 390 rivals the TVS Apache RR 310, the only other BS6-compliant bike in its segment at the moment.
