Gets a fresh set of clothes in the form of this new Metallic Ocean Blue colour scheme

It’s raining retros at the moment. Here in India, the latest on the scene is the eagerly anticipated Honda CB350RS, but overseas, Kawasaki has spruced up its popular W175 modern classic roadster. For the 2021 model year, the bike now gets a lovely new colour scheme called Metallic Ocean Blue.

The dark blue shade is splashed on the fuel tank and mudguards, while the side panel is finished in black. Yellow highlighting on the tank and side panels greatly elevate the look of the bike, as do contrasting chrome bits like the badges and engine cooling fins. Despite featuring predominantly dark tones, this colour scheme doesn’t come across as blackwashed, so kudos to Kawasaki for execution.

Unfortunately, the W175 isn’t available in India. Fortunately, it has been spotted testing on our roads, indicating that a possible launch might just be on the cards. If it does arrive, expect it to happen sometime in mid-2021 at a possible price of around Rs 1.75 lakh (ex-showroom).
