Bajaj Avenger 220 Street FAQs
Avenger 220 Street Key Highlights
Price: Bajaj has relaunched the Avenger 220 Street at Rs 1,30,172 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The 2026 version is Rs 4,207 more than before. Despite this, it remains the most affordable cruiser bike in India.
Design: Avenger 220 Street doesn’t see any change in design. The bike gets a low-slung profile, wide handlebar and forward-set footpegs, giving it a proper cruiser look. It comes in just two shades: Ebony Black and Cocktail Wine Red. Nothing to write home about here. It gets a short smoked flyscreen and blacked-out components, as opposed to the full-fledged windscreen and chrome components on the Avenger 220 Cruise variant. Bajaj’s logic is that it needs to look a bit more ‘compact’ to live up to its ‘Street’ moniker.
Features: The Avenger’s feature set is pretty barebones. It gets a full-LCD console which shows speed, odometer, trip meter, time and fuel level. It also has a secondary console on the tank for tell-tale lights. There's neither a tachometer nor Bluetooth connectivity, and the all-halogen light setup also feels dated. For safety, it gets single-channel ABS.
Engine: The bike is powered by a 220cc air-oil-cooled engine with a 5-speed gearbox. It produces 19.03PS at 8500rpm and 17.55Nm at 7000rpm. The same engine is shared with its sibling, the Avenger 220 Cruise.
Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The bike has a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers at the rear with 5-step adjustability. Braking is handled by a 280mm disc at the front, while the rear makes do with a drum brake. It rides on 17 inch front and 15 inch rear alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. Seat height is super accessible at 737mm, and it weighs 160kg kerb, which makes moving it around an easy affair.
Rivals: The Bajaj Avenger 220 Street has no natural rivals in its segment, but you can get the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 if you’re willing to spend more. It’s got much more modern features, not to mention refined performance from the J-series counterbalanced engine.
