In the past few years, electric vehicles have become dime a dozen in this country, and the 2020 Auto Expo was a great testimony to that. Now, another start-up, Earth EV, has released a teaser of its upcoming electric vehicles. While the details are bleak at the moment, the brand is all set to launch its first range of new products starting as early as this month.
The teaser image doesn’t reveal much, however, with some editing, we managed to get a better look at the bikes. It seems Earth Energy is all set to roll out a roadster, a scooter and a cruiser soon. In fact, it intends to bring out six commercial and non-commercial products by the end of this year.

A closer look at the teaser reveals that the bikes use a chain or belt final drive instead of a hub motor. Though the bikes do not sport front brakes in the image, they’re expected to get a disc brake at the front. That said, the first product to come out is likely to be an e-scooter and going by its silhouette, it seems to be on the sportier side. Expect it to feature a Bluetooth-enabled console and range that keeps it at par with the big players like Bajaj Chetak, the TVS iQube Electric. So far, the Ather 450X has been the benchmark for electric scooters in India. Why? Find out here.
The scooter is likely to be followed by the naked that seems to draw inspiration from the Yamaha FZ, with its muscular body. The cruiser may be launched alongside the naked and will be one of a kind product in the country at the moment. Going by the teaser, the cruiser too appears to be buff.
This year seems to be a promising one for EV enthusiasts, with Simple Energy bringing out the Mark 2 e-scooter that boasts some interesting numbers, and the Suzuki Burgman Electric. Even the Ultraviolette F77 is closer to being launched and we also recently spotted the Kabira Mobility KM4000 in Goa, hinting at 2021 launch.
