2016 Mumbai Vintage and Classic car rally announced on January 31

The Vintage and Classic Car club of India (VCCCI) will hold its annual vintage car rally in Mumbai on January 31, 2016. The rally, which is one of the most important vintage and classic car event of the calendar in India will see participation from over 200 vintage, classic and modern classic vehicles from Bombay and surrounding cities. The judging for the 2016 VCCCI rally will take place a day before the rally at Kala Ghoda.

The rally will start from Horniman Circle in South Bombay which has been the spiritual home of the VCCCI rally for a few years now and will follow a pre determined Time Speed Distance (TSD) rally format which will take the cars through south and central Bombay making its way back to Horniman Circle. The cars expected to attend the vent will include several pre and post war vintage and classic cars along with a selection of Edwardian and newly imported cars under the pre-1950 import route that have never been seen before.

Some of the noteworthy marques that will make an appearance at the rally will be Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Cadillac, Mercedes-Benz, Dodge, Chrysler, Ferrari, etc. From luxury limousines to small two seater sports cars to luxury tourers to your run of the mill ‘people’s cars’, there will be something for everyone as Mumbai gets transported back to an era of chrome bumpers, white wall tyres and semaphore indicators. There will also be a range of classic motorcycles and scooters from well known brands like Vespa, Lambretta, Harley Davidson, Honda, Yamaha, BSA, Triumph, Ducati and of course, Royal Enfield.
