Vida, Hero MotoCorp’s EV division, has launched the Dirt.E K3 in India at Rs 69,990 (introductory ex-showroom price for the first 300 units only). The electric off-road motorcycle is aimed at young riders stepping into the world of dirt biking, marking Vida’s entry into the kids’ off-road segment after its global debut at EICMA 2025. With Hero MotoCorp already participating in international rally events like the Dakar Rally, the introduction of a youth-focused dirt bike aligns with the brand’s motorsport involvement.

Built for Young Learners
Designed for children roughly between four and ten years old, the Dirt.E K3 features an adjustable chassis with customisable wheelbase, handlebar height and ride height. The three-stage setup (Small, Medium and High) allows the bike to adapt as the child grows, making it suitable for multiple learning phases. The Small setup has a seat height of 454mm, the Medium has a seat height of 544mm, while the Large setup has 631mm. The e-bike has a kerb weight of just 22kg.
It gets multiple safety features as well such as removable footpegs (to walk the bike), a chest pad on the handlebar (to absorb the impact in case of a crash), a magnetic kill switch and a rear motor cover. The e-bike only comes with the rear brake as standard, and a front brake, along with larger wheels, rear suspension, larger front suspension and road-spec tyres, are available as optional accessories.

Electric Powertrain and Ride Modes
The Dirt.E K3 is powered by a 500W motor paired with a 360Wh removable lithium-ion battery. Vida has equipped it with three riding modes: Low, Mid and High, each with speed restrictions to help beginners gradually build confidence. Going by the claimed performance and battery capacity, it’s evident that this electric motorcycle is aimed at short training sessions or introductory off-road practice.

Tech and Safety
A connected smartphone app allows parents to set speed limits, configure acceleration response and monitor ride data. The model has also received design recognition internationally, including a Red Dot Award, highlighting its focus on ergonomics and modular structure.

ZigSays
The Dirt.E K3 is a strong step forward for India’s off-road ecosystem, especially with a mainstream Indian manufacturer already involved in global rally competitions such as the Dakar Rally. Introducing small, accessible dirt bikes for children can help create a structured pathway for young talent. Starting early is key in motorsport, and initiatives like this could play a role in shaping the next generation of Indian off-road riders. Ohvale did the same with the FIM MiniGP series for children, aimed at helping them excel at track riding. The Dirt.E K3 is Hero’s way of doing the same in the world of off-road motorsports. It’s also the first time a mainstream Indian manufacturer has come up with a product exclusively for helping children excel in offroad motorsports.
We also hope Hero MotoCorp organises full-fledged dirt-riding courses pan-India to help kids with talent prove their mettle, and also gain exposure so that their entry into the big leagues becomes a bit more streamlined.
