The 2025 Tata Altroz facelift is finally here, having undergone a full, comprehensive makeover since its launch in 2020. Though it retains the overall design silhouette, the facelift is loaded with sharper looks, a more premium cabin, and a tech bump that will enable Tata's premium hatchback to fare better against the Maruti Baleno, Hyundai i20, and Toyota Glanza.
Here’s everything new, broken down and backed up with real-life images:
Tata has taken a “don’t fix what ain’t broken” approach with the Altroz facelift. The base design remains familiar, but several key elements have been tweaked for a more premium, sportier look.
Front Grille: A new gloss-black panel connects the headlamps, housing the Tata logo and giving the front a wider, more aggressive stance.
Reprofiled Bumper: Revised air dams and faux carbon-fibre elements add a sporty touch.
DRLs & Headlamps: The LED DRLs now sit inside the headlamp cluster rather than in the bumper, resulting in a cleaner, more cohesive look.
Tail Lamps: The biggest design update at the rear, connected LED tail lamps. The light bar adds visual width and modern flair.
Flush Door Handles: Following the modern trend, the Altroz now gets flush door handles, instead of the older pull-type.
New Alloy Wheels: The 16-inch alloys now feature a sleeker design and machine-cut finish, enhancing side profile appeal.
The changes don’t shout for attention, but they definitely make the Altroz look fresher and more upmarket.
Step inside, and this is where the 2025 Altroz truly ups its game. Tata has given the cabin a tech-forward makeover, adding new displays and creature comforts.
10.25-inch Touchscreen: Borrowed from the Nexon, this new infotainment system is slick, responsive, and comes with Tata’s latest interface. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are supported.
10.25-inch Digital Cluster: The fully digital driver’s display shows navigation, media, and other key data in a crisp layout.
New Steering Wheel: A two-spoke design with an illuminated Tata logo, straight from the Nexon facelift. Stylish and futuristic.
New Centre Console: The gear selector (especially in DCT variants) has been updated, with a neater layout and better materials.
Air Purifier: With the AQI dropping every day in the metros, this is another addition to the feature list, making it more relevant.
360-degree: Another handy feature that makes daily life easier, especially when you have to manoeuvre or park your hatch.
The cabin retains its roomy feel and premium textures, but the tech updates are a big win for buyers wanting a more feature-loaded experience.
Mechanically, the Altroz facelift carries over its set of powertrains, but gains a 5-speed AMT in the 1.2-litre NA Petrol:

While some rivals have ditched diesel, Tata continues to offer a variety, which could work in its favour depending on buyer preference.
Tata is doing away with the traditional XE-XM-XT trim nomenclature. The new variant lineup follows what we saw with the Punch.ev and Nexon:
Smart
Pure
Creative
Accomplished
Accomplished+ S
This new naming scheme is cleaner, more intuitive, and easier to understand for customers.
The 2025 Tata Altroz Facelift has been launched for an introductory price of Rs 6.89 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 11.49 lakh for the top-end. Here's the full variant-wise pricing:

It continues to rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20 and the Toyota Glanza.
The 2025 Altroz facelift does not attempt to change the premium hatchback recipe, rather, it moves in a more mature direction by fine-tuning the most important things that matter to the current customers. The exterior changes walk the tightrope between familiarity and being absolutely new, while the interior takes a giant leap with substantial tech and comfort upgrades.
With its feature list updated to modern times, some smarter design tweaks, and a new variant strategy, Tata has kept the Altroz as a relevant player in the otherwise declining segment. It should manage to get the attention, particularly for those who like safety, style, and features equally.
