2025 Tata Altroz facelift has added another feather to its cap by securing a full five-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests. With this achievement, it now stands as the safest car in its segment, outshining its rival, the Maruti Baleno, which managed a four-star rating. The Altroz facelift earned five stars in both Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP), and we have detailed its results in the following section.
Score: 29.65/32
The Tata Altroz secured an impressive 29.65 out of 32 in Adult Safety. In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, it scored 15.55 out of 16, offering good protection for most critical areas, with only the tibias rated marginal. In the side movable deformable barrier test, it achieved 14.11 out of 16, showing good head protection but marginal chest protection.

It also cleared the side pole impact test, confirming its ability to protect adult occupants in severe crash situations.
Score: 44.90/49
The Altroz delivered an even better performance with 44.90 out of 49 in Child safety. It almost maxed out the dynamic test (23.90/24) and scored a perfect 12/12 in CRS installation, ensuring child seats fit securely.

It also managed 9/13 in the vehicle assessment score, which still reflects strong child safety. The Altroz protected both the 18-month-old and 3-year-old dummies effectively in frontal and side impact tests. This makes it one of the safest hatchbacks for child passengers in India.
The Tata Altroz facelift comes with safety features like six airbags (as standard), ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and hill hold assist, rear parking sensors and a 360-degree camera.
The Altroz’s prime rival includes the Maruti Baleno, Hyundai i20 and Toyota Glanza. It is being sold at a price ranging from Rs 6.89 lakh to Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
Just another day and just another Tata car scoring a 5-star safety rating! The 2025 Altroz facelift already increased its appeal with a fresh look and added features, but the fact that it now holds a full five-star Bharat NCAP rating makes it a solid pick in its segment. For families, especially, knowing it’s scored five stars for both adults and kids just makes the buying decision a whole lot easier.
