India’s big-bike scene has been shifting gears at a rapid pace, and the latest sales numbers show a more appropriate picture of what big-bike buyers really want. While outright speed still has its place, there’s a clear rise in machines that balance performance with usability. From sharp streetfighters to iconic speed machines, here’s how the rankings stack up this time.
Triumph Street Triple RS: 119 Units

Taking the top spot in February 2026 is the Triumph Street Triple RS, clocking 119 units, and more importantly, surpassing the Kawasaki Z900 in terms of month-on-month sales. This is a big moment. With its razor-sharp handling, explosive triple-cylinder motor and premium electronics, the RS delivers a near-perfect blend of track-ready aggression and everyday rideability. It’s not just fast — it’s precise, refined, and incredibly addictive.
Kawasaki Z900: 94 Units

Slipping to second place, the Kawasaki Z900 recorded 94 units. It still remains one of the most loved big bikes in India, thanks to its muscular design and thrilling inline-four performance. It’s the kind of motorcycle that feels raw and exciting, yet manageable enough to live with daily, a perfect formula that continues to resonate strongly with buyers.
Suzuki Hayabusa: 30 Units

The legendary Suzuki Hayabusa continues to hold its ground with 30 units. While it may not be dhoom machao-ing in the sales charts, its legacy, insane top-end performance, and unmistakable road presence ensure it remains a dream machine for many. It’s less about practicality, more about emotion - that’s always been in the 'Busa's soul.
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R: 14 Units

Supersport purists are still in the game, with the Kawasaki ZX-6R posting 14 units. High-revving, aggressive and unapologetically track-focused, this bike is built for riders who want precision and performance above all else. It’s not the easiest machine to tame on public roads, but for those who understand it, nothing else quite compares. Kawasaki recently announced a big discount of Rs 2.74 lakh, which has taken its price down to Rs 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Triumph Daytona 660: 9 Units

Rounding off the list is the Triumph Daytona 660 with 9 units. A more approachable supersport, it blends sporty styling with a relatively relaxed riding experience. It may not be as extreme as traditional 600cc machines, but that’s exactly what makes it appealing, a sportbike you can actually enjoy everyday.
The Balance is Changing
What these numbers clearly highlight is a shift in buyer preference. Hardcore supersports and legends still have their audience, but motorcycles that offer usable performance with everyday comfort are now leading the charge.
Interestingly, this time it’s not just the Japanese giants dominating, but the British have made a strong statement. And if this trend continues, the superbike space in India could be heading towards a more balanced, rider-focused future where precision and practicality finally share the spotlight.
