We have some good news if you had your eyes set on the new Tata Punch. The micro SUV’s launch has been fast-forwarded from October 20 to October 18, 2021. Bookings are already underway and you can reserve your unit via Tata’s website or at your nearest dealership for a token of Rs 21,000.
The Tata Punch is offered in four trims: Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative. You can pick up the SUV in the following colours: Orcus White, Daytona Grey, Atomic Orange, Tropical Mist, Meteor Bronze, Tornado Blue, and Calypso Red. The last two are exclusive to the top-spec Creative, which can be had only in a dual-tone option with either a black or white roof.

Powering the micro SUV is a 86PS 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that drives the front wheels via a 5-speed manual or an optional 5-speed AMT. A 110PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and an all-electric powertrain could be offered in the future.
The Punch is likely to be priced from Rs 5.5 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards, putting it in the same league as the Maruti Suzuki Ignis and Mahindra KUV100 Nxt. It will also be an alternative to the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite.
