Tata Punch EV Facelift To Be Launched Tomorrow: Here’s What To Expect

Just weeks after the launch of the Punch facelift, Tata Motors is all set to bring a comprehensively updated Punch EV to the market tomorrow. With this facelift, Tata is expected to not only bring refreshed styling but also improve range and add some new equipment to make it feel fresher. With the launch now just a day away, here’s what we expect to see on the Tata Punch EV facelift. 

2026 Tata Punch EV Facelift: Exterior

The images revealed on social media showcase the changes we can come to expect on the Punch EV facelift. Unlike the ICE-powered Punch facelift the EV does not seem too radical. The new styling includes a redesigned bumper, with a curvier and more minimalistic profile, for a cleaner look. The split headlamp unit has been retained and so are the slim LED DRLs. Tata has reworked the front-end with a larger air dam and a new textured skid plate. Notably, with this facelift, Tata has ditched the light strip which used to connect both the DRLs.

The charging flap continues to be a unique element of the design, resting on its nose. 

There are minimal changes to the side profile of the Tata Punch EV facelift. The silhouette remains unchanged, but we can see that it gets a slightly updated alloy wheel design, as part of this facelift. Tata will also introduce new colour options, including monotone and dual-tone colours (which now feature a black roof). The automaker has also confirmed the addition of brown and bright yellow colours to the palette with the latest update. 

Changes to the rear profile are inspired from the ICE version of the Punch facelift with a connected LED taillamp cluster playing a major role in this design update. The rear bumper has also been tweaked to mimic the ICE version with a sleeker profile and a silver skid plate as well.

2026 Tata Punch EV Facelift: Interior

The cabin of the Punch EV is will sport minimal changes. From the images, we can see that the current dashboard design to continue sporting the dual-tone theme with gloss black surfaces and the two-spoke backlit steering wheel. The infotainment system could also get a new user interface, while the digital instrument console for the driver gets slight updates too.

However, just like the ICE-powered Punch, it could also get extended thigh support for better comfort of occupants.

On the feature front, the Tata Punch EV facelift will continue to be well loaded, and is likely to be equipped with ventilated front seats, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a voice-enabled electric sunroof, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charger, air purifier, auto-dimming IRVM, ambient lighting, a premium sound system and auto headlamps.

Its safety suite could include a new Level 2 ADAS suite, in addition to existing features such as a 360-degree camera, 6 airbags,electronic stability control, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, hill hold assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

The Tata Punch EV facelift is expected to bring big changes under the hood, with a larger 40kWh battery pack in addition to the current 25 kWh and 35 kWh options. However, the motor output could remain similar, with Tata making slight tweaks to the tune to extract more range from the existing battery options as well. 2026 Tata Punch EV Facelift: Launch Date, Expected Price And Rivals

Tata Motors will launch the facelifted Punch EV on February 20, 2026. In terms of pricing, given these new updates, expect a slight increase with the facelift likely to be priced in the range of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Punch EV has only one direct rival in the form of the Citroen eC3, but it can also be considered as an alternative to the MG Windsor EV, Mahindra XUV 3XO EV and its own sibling, the Tata Nexon EV.

Tata’s facelift for the Punch EV is turning out to be evolutionary, rather than revolutionary. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing given how competent the electric crossover already is. With this facelift however, it is set to become more mature, and with better range figures a lot more usable too! But will it be enough to widen its appeal? That is something we will have to wait for until tomorrow to find out.
