The Punch has gone through an extensive facelift and now features a sleeker and bolder design language. It gets a completely new fascia with a slimmer grille, sleeker-looking DRLs and a new bumper which houses a vertically-stacked headlamp cluster along with thick cladding and a faux silver skid plate.

However, move on towards the side and Tata has decided to keep the muscular and boxy profile intact, with the only major change being a new design for the 16-inch diamond-cut alloys.

At the rear-end, the Punch now features a connected LED taillamp cluster along with a new rear bumper that houses a thick faux silver skid plate as well. In terms of the colour options offered, Tata has refreshed its colour palette, which you can check out in detail here.

Inside, the Punch has undergone a comprehensive update. It gets a new dashboard, borrowed from the Punch EV, which includes a new two-spoke illuminated steering wheel, a touch-based climate control panel and a digital instrument cluster.

In terms of the colour scheme, it now features a dual-tone charcoal-blue theme, with white inserts on the dashboard and door panels and extendable thigh support.

For the rear passengers, the Punch facelift also offers extendable thigh support, centre armrest and rear AC vents as well.
As part of this facelift, Tata has also added a lot of new features to the Punch, whose equipment list now includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, voice-assisted electric sunroof, wireless charger, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, connected car technology and wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay.

Safety-wise, it now gets 6 airbags as standard along with features such as electronic stability control, hill descent control, 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, auto-dimming IRVM and a tyre pressure monitoring system. Notably, the Punch facelift has also scored a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating, strengthening its safety credentials furthermore.

Under the hood, the Punch facelift retains the 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, which can also be had with a bi-fuel CNG option, which is now also available with an AMT.
However, what’s new is a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that brings a more powerful engine option for added appeal. It is worth noting that

The Tata Punch facelift competes with other micro SUVs such as the Hyundai Exter, Citroen C3, Maruti Fronx, Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor and Nissan Magnite.
Sleeker, bolder, powerful and more modern, the new Punch facelift offers a compelling package for the price. And now with the new turbo-petrol, along with the CNG+AMT combination, it offers a lot more flexibility for various kinds of buyers. Will it again capture the throne of the micro SUV segment? That remains to be seen.
