Royal Enfield Hunter 35

Right before its launch, the Hunter 350 was revealed by Royal Enfield’s Sid Lal yesterday and now we too have finally seen it in person. The roadster has been a highly-anticipated one, so let’s have a closer look at it through these detailed images:

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Front

The bike continues with the signature retro bits such as round headlamp, rear view mirrors and taillamp.

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Rear

The Hunter 350 looks every bit a Royal Enfield from the rear as well. All its lighting uses halogen bulbs and it gets a two-piece grab rail along with Royal Enfield badging on the seat as well.

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Instrument Console

The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 gets a twin-pod instrument console with the second one being the Tripper Navigation, which Royal Enfield will likely offer as an accessory. It’s similar to the one we’ve seen on the Scram 411.

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Dimensions

Tipping the scales at 181kg, it is the lightest Royal Enfield bike ever and is a colossal 14kg lighter than the Classic 350. Not only that, it’s also the most compact Royal Enfield bike with a 20mm shorter wheelbase as well as a 15mm lesser seat height.

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Seat

The bike gets a single-piece seat with the rider’s patch ribbed. The switchgear too is similar to the existing 350 duo.

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Engine

At the heart of the Hunter 350 is the familiar 349cc, single-cylinder, air-oil-cooled engine. We’ve seen it on the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Meteor 350. Even the power and torque outputs are the same at 20.2PS and 27Nm respectively. That said, the motor will get revised ignition timing to make it a bit sportier. Royal Enfield claims a top speed of 114kmph on the roadster.

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Underpinnings

Adding to its sportiness are the 17-inch spoke or alloy wheels that are wrapped in tubeless or tube tyres, depending on the variant you opt for; something we covered in our exclusive story. For braking, the Hunter 350 gets a 300mm disc at the front and a 270mm one at the rear. It also comes with the safety net of a dual-channel ABS.

Royal Enfield Hunter 35

The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 will be here on August 7, and we expect it to carry a price tag of around Rs 1.7 lakh, making it the most affordable J-series platform bike. It will rival the Honda CB350RS, Jawa 42 2.1 and the upcoming Triumph-Bajaj motorcycle.
