The new Pleasure Plus would be launched alongside the new XPulse 200 4V and Xtreme 160R

  • The new Pleasure Plus will come with a new LED headlamp.

  • It will get a new colour scheme, a backrest, and chrome accents.

  • No updates are expected on the mechanical front.

  • Hero MotoCorp has teased the upcoming Pleasure Plus on social media. This comes after the Indian bike maker recently dropped a teaser of the XPulse 200 4V, earlier spotted at an event along with the Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition.

Even though it’s a short snippet, the teaser gives away some key details. These include a new LED headlight with H-shaped DRLs, a new yellow shade with chrome accents, and a pillion backrest similar to the Pleasure Plus Platinum Edition.

The talking point, however, is the updated instrument cluster. It is basically the same analogue setup as before but with a small digital insert over it, packing call, SMS, phone battery, and missed call alerts via Bluetooth connectivity (segment-first for 110cc scooters). The fuel gauge and trip meter are also shown digitally. However, the setup seems to miss out on turn-by-turn navigation.

While phone notifications are a plus, we feel the display is quite tiny compared to other 125cc scooters. This is just an initial impression, though, and we’re yet to see how it fares in the real world.

Coming to its name, we believe the new Pleasure Plus could either be a range-topping variant like the Hero Glamour Xtec or called the Hero Pleasure Plus Connected, like the Maestro Edge Connected.

No updates are expected to the mechanicals. For reference, the BS6 Pleasure Plus currently puts out 8PS and 8.7Nm, and it tips the scales at 106kg (ZX variant). The new Pleasure Plus could again miss out on a disc brake.

Considering the updates, the new Pleasure Plus could see a hike of  Rs 3,000-4,000, taking its ex-showroom price to around Rs 69,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). We expect Hero to launch the new scooter by the end of this month or around Diwali, and it would go up against the Honda Activa 6G and TVS Jupiter.
