Hero has mentioned that the quantum of upward revision across the board would be up to Rs 1,500. However, very few products in the commuter range have received a hike that are substantial. The Hero Splendor Plus, a bike that has constantly been India’s best-selling model, has received a minor price revision for instance.

While Hero is the first to announce and execute a price hike of this sort this month, we can expect other bike makers to follow suit from the New Year.
