More Feature-packed Super Splendor Is Here highlights

Following the route of multiple other bikes and scooters on Hero’s portfolio, the Super Splendor too has been updated with the Xtec treatment and comes packed with a lot more features than ever before.

What’s The Price? Who Are Its Rivals?

The drum brake variant of the Hero Super Splendor is priced at Rs 83,368, whereas the disc brake variant costs Rs 87,268 (ex-showroom Delhi). It commands a premium of Rs 4,250 over the standard models, which is pretty decent.

With the new Xtec update, it will prove to be a better rival to the best-selling 125cc bike, the Honda Shine. It will also be more feature packed than the other rivals like the Bajaj CT125X and, Bajaj Pulsar 125

What’s New?

More Feature-packed Super Splendor Is Here details

  • Most importantly, it features a new fully digital instrument console, similar to the Splendor Plus Xtec.

  • It gets Bluetooth connectivity with call and SMS alerts.

  • The console also indicates real time mileage, low fuel, service reminder and malfunction alerts.

  • In terms of appearance, the front of the bike has been redesigned with a new LED headlight with position lamps. The standard model gets a simple halogen bulb.

  • It also gets slightly updated graphics as compared to the standard model.

  • Available in three slightly different shades: Gloss Black, Matt Axis Grey and Candy Blazing Red.

  • Apart from this the bike remains completely unchanged.

What’s Unchanged?

  • Gets the same commuter styling as the standard model.

  • Powered by a fuel-injected 125cc engine with i3S technology making 10.87PS and 10.6Nm.

  • Runs a telescopic fork and dual shocker suspension setup

  • Braking is done via an optional 240mm front disc brake and 130mm front and rear drum unit as standard.

The Hero Super Splendor has received a much needed upgrade to take on the Honda Shine a bit better. It is Rs 4,581 more expensive than the Honda, however, with the new, tangible features, it is a much more wholesome package than its rival.
