Ather Rizta Underseat Storage Space Revealed

The anticipation for Ather Energy’s upcoming family scooter, the Ather Rizta, is ramping up as its April 6 2024 launch date draws near. And the EV maker has now added to the anticipation by sharing another teaser wherein the scooter’s underseat storage space has been shown.

As we can see, the storage space in the upcoming Rizta is more than decent and is definitely much larger than that of the Ather 450X. We think it is big enough for two half-face helmets along with some knick-knacks. Also spotted in the video is a boot light in the underseat storage space and a small secondary storage space alongside the regular one where you’ll probably be able to store your phone or any other small-sized item.

Regarding the rest of the scooter, it gets a massive single-piece grab rail to go with the boxy and family-oriented design of the scooter. The swingarm looks like a box-type setup and the rear wheel gets a cover with drum brakes. Talking about the wheels, it looks like the Rizta gets a 12-inch setup at both ends with MRF Zapper-N tyres.

The rest of the details are same as when it was spied previously from where we came to know that the upcoming scooter gets a wide front apron with horizontally-stacked LED headlight with the DRL placed at the bottom of the headlight cowl. Ather Energy also shared a few more teasers of the family scooter recently, where the EV maker confirmed that it’ll get SMS alerts and a “skid” prevention feature which we think will be single-channel ABS.

Pre-bookings for the Ather Rizta are now open for a nominal fee of Rs 999. The Ather Rizta is expected to get 2.9kWh capacity battery pack, 115km claimed range and 5.4kW peak power output motor as that of the Ather 450S. When launched in a few days time, it is expected to get a price tag of about Rs 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom) and it will rival the TVS iQube, Hero Vida V1 Pro, Ola S1 Air and Bajaj Chetak.
