Price: The Ather 450 Apex is priced at Rs 1,99,999 (ex-showroom, Bangalore). Which is Rs 5,001 more expensive than the previous model. The scooter is available in a single variant.
Design: The Ather 450 Apex gets similar bodywork as the previous version. The transparent body panels along with an Indium Blue paint job does make the scooter stand out. The overall design looks sharp and has the same dimensions as the 450X.
Features: The Ather 450 Apex gets an all-LED lighting setup with a guide-me-home feature for the headlight. It features a 7-inch touch-enabled TFT instrument cluster with integrated Google Maps navigation suite, 5 riding modes: Smart Eco, Eco, Ride, Sport and Wrap+. The TFT display also allows for Whatsapp to be operated on the dashboard, sharing live location, and Alexa skills. The scooter also gets self-cancelling indicators, emergency stop signal (which flashes the indicators in case of sudden braking), crash alert, coasting regen, Magic Twist (a reverse throttle to activate regenerative braking), and switchable traction control with three modes: Rain, Road and Rally. The e-scooter gets a 22-litre underseat storage.
Motor: The Ather 450 Apex features a PMS (Permanent Magnet Synchronous) motor that produces a peak output of 7kW and 26Nm, compared to the 6.4kW power of the 450X. The e-scooter has five riding modes including a Warp+ mode. It does 0-40kmph acceleration in a claimed 2.9 seconds, which is 0.5 seconds quicker than the 450X. The e-scooter has a claimed top speed of 100kmph (10kmph faster than the 450X).
Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The Ather 450 Apex has an aluminium frame. It gets a telescopic fork and a rear monoshock. The e-scooter is equipped with a 200mm front disc and a 190mm rear disc, with CBS (Combined Braking System) and regenerative braking. The scooter gets a 170mm ground clearance and has a comfortable seat height of 780mm. It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels with a 90-section front tyre and 100-section rear tyre, both tubeless.
Rivals: The Ather 450 Apex competes with the Ola S1 Pro, TVS iQube ST and the Simple One.
Range: The Ather 450 Apex provides a claimed real-world range of 130km in Smart Eco mode and 80km range in Warp+ mode which is an increase of 20km and 5km,respectively, over the 2024 model.
Charging Time: The Ather 450 Apex is powered by a 3.7kWh battery pack and it takes 5 hours and 45 minutes to charge from 0 to 100 percent using a home charger.
