Quick News Highlights:
The Ather Rizta is a family-focused electric scooter from the Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer. It was launched just a few months ago at an introductory price of Rs 1,09,999 (ex-showroom). However, our sources and a few Ather dealerships have confirmed that the Rizta electric scooter is expected to receive its first price hike of around Rs 5,000 from January 1, 2025.

The Ather Rizta electric scooter is available in three variants: the Rizta S, the Rizta Z (2.9kWh) and the Rizta Z (3.7kWh).
The Rizta S has a 2.9kWh battery pack offering a range of 123km. It currently costs Rs 1,09,999 and the pro pack is available for an extra Rs 13,000
The Rizta Z (2.9kWh) also has a 2.9kWh battery pack that provides the same range of 123km and has better features than the S. It is priced at Rs 1,26,499 and its pro pack is available for an additional Rs 15,000
The Rizta Z (3.7kWh) has a longer range of 159km and is available for Rs 1,46,499 (all prices ex-showroom, Bengaluru). The pro pack for this variant costs Rs 20,000
Range is claimed as per IDC (Indian Driving Cycle)

The Ather Rizta S gets a 7-inch LCD instrument console whereas the Ather Rizta Z gets a 7-inch TFT display, both with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. The electric scooter also comes with features like AutoHold, Reverse Mode, MagicTwist (negative throttle for regen braking) and more. It exclusively brings in advanced features like integrated WhatsApp, Alexa voice assist, and the Skid Control feature, which is basically traction control. The Rizta has a generous 34-litre underseat storage and an option to buy a frunk which increases 22 litres of storage capacity of the scooter.

The Ather Rizta provides a different option for Ather customers to choose from other than the sporty 450X and 450S scooters. It rivals the other family electric scooters in the market, including Bajaj Chetak, Ola S1 Pro, Vida V2 and the upcoming Activa Electric.
