Skoda India is updating its India 2.0 cars, and while the Kushaq facelift arrived recently, it’s now time for the Slavia to go under the scalpel. The Skoda Slavia has been on sale for over four years, and is all set to get a comprehensive update soon. We’ve got our hands on the latest spy shots of the Slavia facelift on test, and here’s what you can expect from the upcoming sedan.
The test mule spotted here promises a host of upgrades, including cosmetic enhancements and feature additions. The test mule is partially camouflaged at the front and rear, suggesting that’s where most of the visual changes will be.
At the front, we can see a revised bumper with a larger air dam with sharp detailing which could give it an aggressive look. It is also likely to feature a revised grille with lighting elements inside, just like the Kushaq facelift which was unveiled last month. Skoda is also likely to rework the detailing inside the headlamps as well.

Towards the side, it will retain the current car’s silhouette, but a new alloy wheel design is also speculated to be on offer.

Changes to the rear will be minimal. We expect to see a new bumper design, while the wraparound taillights are likely to be connected with a light bar in the centre.

From these spyshots, we can see that the Slavia facelift will retain the black and beige colour theme in the cabin, while the revisions are likely to be minor.
However, we can also see that it will get the new 10.25-inch digital driver’s display from the Kushaq facelift too. The infotainment screen on the other hand will be carried forward, albeit likely with an updated UI and an AI assistant included.

Another feature not visible on the test mule is the panoramic sunroof, suggesting the automaker could retain the single-pane electric sunroof in the interest of better headroom.

Skoda is also expected to introduce the rear massaging seats on the Slavia facelift. The feature was a huge talking point on the Kushaq facelift, and would add to the comfort quotient of the sedan.

In terms of equipment, the facelifted Slavia is likely to be offered with an electric sunroof, 6-way powered and ventilated front seats, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with AI assistant, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, wireless charger, ambient lighting, cruise control, 8-speaker sound system, auto headlamps and rain-sensing wipers.

Its safety equipment could include 6 airbags, front and rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, a tyre pressure monitoring system, reverse parking camera and all-wheel disc brakes.
The Skoda Slavia facelift will continue with the same 1-litre and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine options. However, the former will get the new 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission from the Kushaq facelift, replacing the 6-speed torque converter seen on the current car.

Meanwhile, the 6-speed manual will continue to be offered on the 1-litre petrol, whereas the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol is likely to continue with only the 7-speed DCT.
Here’s a look at the expected powertrain figures on the Slavia facelift.

While official details are under wraps, Skoda is expected to launch the facelifted Slavia in the last quarter of 2026. Given the changes, it could be priced from Rs 12 lakh to 20 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Slavia goes up against other sedans like the Volkswagen Virtus, Honda City and Hyundai Verna.
After the Kushaq, the facelifted Slavia sure looks tempting! Already a capable sedan, the Slavia will certainly benefit from this much-needed update to make it fresher and livelier for the segment, almost four years since launch. However it does face fierce rivalry from its own sibling, the Virtus, and it remains to be seen if this facelift can bring it right up to the top position in this segment.
