The Monte Carlo edition was earlier available with the Kushaq compact SUV only, but Skoda has now introduced it with the Slavia sedan, at a starting price of Rs 15.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The special edition features a couple of cosmetic changes including blacked-out design elements for the exterior and a new theme for the interior. In this article, we have detailed the special edition of the Slavia using 10 real life images:
The Monte Carlo brings in dualtone red and black hues for the exterior, which look striking and appealing. All the chrome elements upfront have been dechromed and changed to black. The Monte Carlo treatment includes a blacked-out grille, black fog lamp garnish and a small black front lip. As seen on the standard Slavia, it gets LED DRLs and LED headlamps.
In profile, it gets blacked-out 16-inch alloy wheels with red brake callipers for contrast. Further dialing up the sportiness quotient are the black side skirting, black ORVMs, and dark chrome accents for the door handles. You also get the “Monte Carlo” badging on the front fender.
From the rear, you can notice the black lettering for the SKODA badge, and darkened LED tail lamps. Additionally you also get a tiny black trunk spoiler and a black bumper garnish which complete the overall sporty look of the sedan.

The Slavia Monte Carlo is based on the top-spec Prestige variant, which means it is fully-loaded with all the niceties and creature comforts offered with the standard Slavia. However, the interior sports a new theme featuring an all-black dashboard with red accents. It also gets aluminum pedals adding to the sporty feel of the sedan.
Complementing the theme of the cabin, the leatherette seats are also black in colour with contrasting red colour stitching and “Monte Carlo” embossed on the headrests.
In terms of features, it gets a 10-inch touchscreen that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 8-inch digital driver display, a single-pane sunroof, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, rear AC vents, a wireless phone charger, electrically adjustable ORVMs, cruise control, and auto-dimming IRVM. Following the red inserts inside the cabin , even the graphics for the infotainment and driver’s display are now red.
The safety kit comprises ABS with EBD, 6 airbags, a rearview camera and rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), rear defogger and rain-sensing wipers.
The Slavia Monte Carlo is available with a 1-litre turbo-petrol engine which generates 115 PS and 178 Nm and can be had with both 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed torque converter. It also comes with a more potent 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine which churns out 150 PS and 250 Nm and is available only with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
