Quick News Highlights:
- KTM has launched a new Ebony Black colour option for the 250 Duke
- The minimalist colour scheme makes the bike look very stealthy
- It available alongside the already existing colour options
KTM updated the third-gen 250 Duke last week with new features. And now the bike has received a new Ebony Black colour option. The new paint scheme is available alongside the already existing options: Ceramic White, Electric Orange and Atlantic Blue. The streetfighter is priced at Rs 2,41,286 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The new Ebony Black colour schemes gives the Duke 250 a very stealthy look. While KTMs are known for their loud and bright paint jobs with snazzy graphics, this minimalistic colour scheme somehow makes the bike look even more menacing than it normally did before. The latest updates on the bike included the new 390 Duke’s 5-inch TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation, updated switchgear and the same LED DRLs as well. It has also recently received two riding modes: Street and Track, a bi-directional quickshifter, and a type-C USB charging port.
Powering the KTM 250 Duke is a 249cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 31PS at 9,250rpm and 25Nm at 7,250rpm. Handling the suspension duties is a 43mm WP Apex inverted fork and a preload adjustable WP Apex monoshock. The supermoto mode allows you to switch off the rear ABS, which is especially useful for some sideways fun while off-roading.
The 250 Duke’s rivals are the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250, Suzuki Gixxer 250 and the Bajaj Pulsar N250. The addition of the new colour scheme does give prospective customers more options to choose but the timing of the launch of the Ebony Black is very odd and would’ve made more sense if KTM would’ve announced it alongside last week’s launch.
