Claims a respectable 45kmph top speed and 50km range and can charge your devices like a powerbank
Italian EV startup To-Move’s foldable electric scooter, Tom, has a rather charm to it with its flexibility and utility. It is as handy as a Swiss knife because of its portable nature, and also because it works as a power bank to charge all your devices.
With a design inspired by electric bikes, Tom has a small stature and looks like a cute little mini bike. There isn't much to the design except for the aluminum frame with a wooden body (which is customisable) housing the 750Wh battery pack. It is attached to the front fork with a clean circular LED headlight. It features an adjustable handlebar to tweak the height according to the riders – a nifty feature.
The saddle is located just above the wooden body and looks well-cushioned and quite comfortable. Apart from that, Tom gets a small dual shock absorber suspension at the front along with discs on both wheels for braking.

Due to its light weight of 20kg and its portable nature, the e-scooter can be carried around like luggage and makes for a great shifting commuter. It claims a 45kmph top speed, making it a high-speed scooter and is road legal. The claimed range is 50km, which too, is quite respectable.
In terms of features, the Tom e-scooter boasts smartphone connectivity via an app. You can get all the information on the app including theft or touch alert, vehicle location, and range and battery percentage of the e-scooter.

The e-scooter is expected to go into production soon with deliveries commencing in November 2023 in Italy. Sadly, it is unlikely to come to India, however, we do have similar spec e-scooters in India like the Hero Electric Optima and Bounce Infinity E1. That said, these e-scooters aren’t foldable.
