Quick Highlights:
New Chetak to launch on December 20th
Will most likely get a brand new chassis
Range can go up with the new model
Bajaj is all set to launch the new Chetak and have announced the dates for the same. The update will most probably include a new chassis altogether which will reposition the battery to increase the practicality of the scooter. Let’s have a look at what we expect from the upcoming Bajaj Chetak.

The new chassis on the Bajaj Chetak will allow for a larger boot space as the battery will be placed under the floorboard. The current achilles heel for the Chetak is the lack of underseat storage over its competitors which offer a substantially larger option. The repositioned battery may allow Bajaj to fit a larger battery pack and in-turn increase the range of the electric scooter.
The design may more or less remain the same with minor tweaks to the bodywork and to the paint schemes as Bajaj will want to continue with the retro theme of the Chetak which it is known for.

The price of the new 2024 Chetak may receive a small hike over the outgoing model which is priced from Rs 96,000 to Rs 1,29,000 (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi). Once launched the new Bajaj Chetak will go against the likes of Ather Rizta, TVS iQube, Ola S1 Pro and the recently launched Vida V2 in India.
