Whereas, every one of us knows that traffic is becoming an ever-increasing pain. It does not matter how quickly your manual gearbox responds or how reliable it is when you get stuck in a huge traffic jam and suffer excruciating pain in your left leg constantly depressing the clutch. If you'll be driving more in heavy city traffic then we suggest you to opt for Automatic Transmission which is easier to use and more comfortable for the driver, while Manual Transmission vehicles are less expensive and more involved

On the other hand, we wouldn't recommend getting the rear camera to be installed from the aftermarket, in order to avoid hampering or voiding your car's warranty. You may get it installed from the authorized service centre of Mahindra only.
Reports are that soon Mahindra is going to make it available officially 360 camera kit with software as an accessory for the all Ax7 variants this year. so don't opt for aftermarket 360 cameras.. if they can provide it in AX7 smart variant, then they can make it available for All AX7 variants
Ax5 loses out on the interior chrome touches, lane assist, driver drowsiness alert, adaptive cruise control, leatherette seats, leather wrapped steering and gear lever, interior soft touch points, powerfolding orvm, 2nd row armrest, electronic parking brake, esp, brake assist, 18 inch alloys, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, electronic seat adjust, reverse camera, automatic ac, dual zone ac, side airbags, air purifier, front parking sensors, steering mounted controls for right side, dashboard piano black finish and more.. while the price differnce is just 2.6 lakhs ex showroom.. so i highly suggest skip ax5 and consider the ax7 variant but the only drawback is the longer waiting period of almost 2 years compared to the 10 months on ax5. if you add the luxury pack in to considerations ax5 loses out on even more features
AX7 is a seven seater AX5 is a five seater variant

Selecting the best variant would depend on certain factors such as our budget, preference of the fuel type, features required, seating capacity, etc. The XUV700 is offered in two broad trims: MX and AX (AdrenoX). The lower variant is available with a 5-seating layout and can be had either with a 2-litre turbo-petrol or a 2.2-litre diesel engine option. For the diesel engine, the MX is detuned to 155PS/360Nm and is limited to a 6-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive. Whereas, the AX variant gets the more powerful 185PS state of tune from its 2.2-litre diesel engine, as well as the 6-speed torque converter automatic and all-wheel drive options. Furthermore, we would suggest you to take a test drive before making the final decision.
