We have tested this 5th generation Honda's scooter in both city traffic and highway1condition. In city, it returns the mileage figure of 58.1 kmpl while on highways there is slight drop of 3.9 kmpl in fuel efficiency i.e. 55 kmpl. Activa 5G is perfect1for city riding as in our test, it delivered the second best mileage figures after TVS Jupiter which delivers1the fuel economy of 60.44 kmpl in city.

It depends on your riding. it may give near to 40kmpl. If you ride in the economy speed that is from 30kmph to 50kmph, it might give you more

It varies between 40 to 50 depending how you use it,need to service the vehicle time to time to maintain the mileage.
In order to improve the mileage, we would suggest you to drive slower. Driving fast can reduce your fuel efficiency by up to 33% if you are travelling above 60 kmph. Changing the fuel filter on a regular basis will ensure that your scooter runs smoothly by letting only fuel into the engine instead of other residue from the tank and a clean air filter promotes better combustion which optimizes fuel economy. The tire pressure should be checked at least monthly because properly inflated tires can improve fuel efficiency by up to 3%. Whether you use synthetic of natural oil, using an additive can improve fuel efficiency by up to 15%. You can keep these things in mind while maintaining your scooter.

We are getting around 38kmpl in city with speeds always around 30 ~ 35kmph. This is the 3rd Activa and going by our experience, will be the last one. Have done everything from asking folks to clean carburetor to changing fuel from Indian Oil to Shell and even fuel additives. The improvement was from 34kmpl to 38kmpl. That's it.

Try to drive between 35 to 45 KM / hr in order to utilize maximum average out of your bike and also avoid triple seats, sudden braking, rough driving, and also avoid heavy material transportation and servicing shall be done on regular basis.
Q. Which is better, Honda Activa 5G or Suzuki Access 125 in terms of mileage, performance, maintenance and service?
I dont have any experience with jupiter. But I own honda activa. the power in the vehicle is sufficient but when it comes to the comfort and mileage then it is nowhere especially the front suspension of honda activa is more than worst. The balance and the comfort of the access 125 is also good. The engine of the access is very decent. Overall the honda activa is not a worth buying vehicle.

On paper activa does have an advantage it seems when it comes to the to mileage but in real life both activa and access 125 does similar numbers 50kml so access having bigger engine and better ride quality I would say access has better mileage

I hv owned aciva 5g before 3 months and regularly using it , I ride it 150 km daily . Its great on 70 to 80 km/hr speed . Engine sounds is less . Great controll , with cross winds . But its morning starting troble with self .
The TVS Jupiter is the Honda Activa's biggest rival. Segment-first features make the Jupiter a popular alternative to the Activa. The frugal engine, comfortable ride quality and the fact that it is cheaper than the Honda Activa despite offering much more make it our pick as the best 110cc scooter on sale. The Activa 5G proved to be more fuel efficient in the city, returning 58.1kmpl. This makes it the second most fuel efficient scooter we have tested, with the most efficient being the TVS Jupiter, which returns 60.44kmpl. On the highway though, the efficiency level drops to 55kmpl, portraying its city-friendly engine character.

I have been trying to figure out this which one is better Activa 5G or TVS Jupiter. When I take the test drive of the TVS Jupiter from the Nearest Distributor then I got to know that I am playing a game of any Bike Race. Jupiter is much better than Activa 5G. I think Activa 5G is overpriced. Hope most of the people will find this useful.

Activa 5g gives a mileage of max 30 km/ litre. It is 9 months old, rode 2000+ km. Drive in Mumbai traffic.
Q. Which one is better for a long drive and good mileage combination when compared with Activa 5g & Suzuki Access 125 & TVS Jupiter??????
Honestly, none of these are meant for long drives. For long drives on step-through scooters one needs to buy something like Burgman400 from Suzuki. The relatively smaller tyres than motorcycles, shorter suspension travel, wind resistance, smaller fuel tank etc. will make scooters ideal for city commuting. Now if your definition of long drives are

The Jupiter is a good scooter, with a very good suspension setup. However, TVS service is not on par with Honda, and over long term, the Jupiter is known to have rattles and small niggles.
Q. Is Activa good for long term use and what is the mileage do you get?
No activas are not good for long term use because after certain period of time bike starts to show some niggles and reliability issues for example because activa suspension duty are handled with fork suspension and rear relies on single offset shock arm, are more fragile for intense use and gets damage easily and completely ruins the handling and dynamics of the scooters which is dangerous, secondly because activas 110 cc engine is a carbureted model and if the engine does not heat up at cold starts then serious engine issues comes up, specially in winters engines struggled to heat up and required temperature and when not heated up properly engine will run lean, which is quiet bad for because that would seize the engine and some hefty repair bills, and its cvt gearbox with time and not proper service cvt gets from bad to worst being more laggy between steps ruining overall experience and sometimes cvt doesn't know when to keep the Revs up specially while driving steep roads it's steps up to quickly and engine runs economically this huge lag in power which also in turn is dangerous. But if maintained properly and regular check ups you might have a chance to keep it reliable as new. But i doubt that would happen considering type of service we get here
