The upcoming KTM bike looks production ready

Hot on the heels of the Triumph-Bajaj bikes’ debut, a new spy shot of the 2023 KTM 390 Duke has surfaced on the internet. This is the first time that the bike has been spotted without camouflage and in production-ready guise.

The new spy shot reveals quite a few interesting details about the motorcycle. For starters, the bike gets an adjustable USD fork. While it is not clear in this image, the WP Apex fork is expected to have compression and rebound adjustability while the off-set WP monoshock could have preload and rebound adjustment. We desperately hope that the India-spec naked also comes with adjustability.

It is likely that KTM has also altered the ergonomics, making the 390 Duke’s riding stance more aggressive than before. The footpegs appear to be rear set than the current model.

KTM also seems to have updated the switchgear of the motorcycle. Though the image doesn’t give a clear view of the switchgear, it appears that KTM has given the naked a new starter button with integrated kill switch. And though the TFT console is not visible in this picture, the unit has been updated and packs a bunch of changes.

And since this time the bike has been spotted without any camouflage, giving a clear view of the new aggressive design. The fuel tank extensions are sharper than ever, and even have slats for better aerodynamics. Look closely and you’ll notice that the coolant reservoir has been moved from near the triple clamp to the right side of the engine.

The bike in the spy shot looks ready to hit the showroom but it won’t be before EICMA 2023 that the new 390 Duke makes its first public debut. We expect that the next-gen 390 Duke will hit the Indian streets by the end of this year.
