KTM has announced a new warranty programme that significantly extends the coverage offered on its internationally-sold motorcycles. For models produced from 2025 onwards, all KTM bikes that are road legal will now come with a four-year standard warranty. Earlier, most of the brand’s street bikes were sold with a two-year warranty, so the latest move effectively doubles the coverage period.
The extended warranty applies to KTM’s full range of road-going motorcycles sold internationally. The brand currently has a wide portfolio that starts with the 125 Duke and goes all the way up to its flagship 1390 Super Duke R Evo.
Importantly, the programme also includes the smaller capacity KTM motorcycles manufactured by Bajaj. This means models in the sub-400cc category built in India for global markets, such as the 390 Duke and the 390 Adventure, will also benefit from the new four-year warranty coverage.

However, KTM has clarified that the scheme is limited strictly to street-legal motorcycles. Purpose-built machines such as off-road dirt bikes and track-only models will not be part of this extended warranty plan.
Even if the bike is sold within the four-year coverage period, the remaining warranty will still apply to the next owner. The only requirement is that the motorcycle should have been serviced as per schedule at authorised KTM dealerships. As long as the service history is maintained properly, the coverage continues even after a change of ownership. This could also help KTM motorcycles hold stronger value in the used-bike market.

For now, this four-year warranty programme has been announced only for overseas markets. That said, KTM motorcycles sold in India already come with fairly competitive warranty coverage. Most models currently get a standard three-year warranty, and customers also have the option to extend it further. Depending on the model and the plan chosen, the warranty can be extended up to ten years, through KTM’s extended warranty programmes.
