The rest of the colour options will also get the emblem going forward.

TVS has introduced a new matte silver colour option for the NTorq 125. With this, the total colour options now stand at seven. TVS says the new colour is available only on the disc brake-equipped variant and is priced the same as rest of the colour options, at Rs 59,995 (ex-showroom Delhi). Out of the seven colours, only two have a metallic finish (metallic red and metallic grey), while the rest are matte options.

There’s also a new “Scooter Of The Year” sticker on the apron. Apart from this, the scooter remains unchanged. In May, the scooter received a drum brake variant and the disc-brake version was updated with combined braking system without any hike in price. The drum-brake variant misses out on features like engine-kill switch, underseat USB port and boot light. The TVS NTorq 125 competes with the Honda Grazia, Hero Maestro Edge 125, Aprilia SR 125 and the Suzuki Burgman Street. Here’s TVS’ statement regarding the introduction of the new colour:

Hosur, June 25, 2019: TVS Motor Company, a reputed manufacturer of two-wheelers and three-wheelers in the world, today introduced a new colour – Matte Silver, for their 125cc scooter offering – TVS NTORQ 125. The new colour is a celebration of TVS NTORQ 125, India’s first connected scooter, becoming the most awarded scooter in India for FY 18-19. It is accompanied by the debut of ‘Scooter of the Year’ emblem which will be sported by all models going forward.

Launched in February 2018, TVS NTORQ 125 has witnessed immense response from its target audience – Gen Z. It has swept 9 automotive industry awards in India and also set precedence with award-winning marketing campaigns thus becoming the ‘Scooter of the Year’. This has been achieved through positive response from all stakeholders including customers and enthusiasts which led to the brand crossing the 2-lakh sales milestone in less than 1 year since launch.

TVS NTORQ 125 stands for performance, style and technology. It comes equipped with TVS SmartXonnect* which is paired to an exclusive application. The two-wheeler comes with the state-of-the-art CVTi-REVV 124.79cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 3-valve, air-cooled SOHC engine, that churns out 6.9kW@7500 rpm / 9.4 PS @7500 rpm and 10.5 Nm@5500 rpm.

It comes in a colour selection of Matte Yellow, Matte White, Matte Red, Metallic Blue, Metallic Grey and Metallic Red. The Matte Silver addition will be available in disc variant.
