Skoda Auto has announced the unveiling of its new corporate design and logo at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show . Alongside the company will also unveil a new concept car highlighting the brand's new design language for all new cars post 2012. The development comes in line with the fact that the brand experienced its best-ever sales figures in 2010 globally and is now aiming at increasing its sales to two-folds by 2018.
The new logo will be used globally on all models from 2012 and changes to the traditional winged arrow logo include a new spectrum of colours, claimed to look more distinct and precise by the company. The new corporate design will get absorbed by the dealers as well and will eventually lead to the design and layout of showrooms also being redesigned. The new concept car is expected to be a major departure from the present design language of Skoda and all new models designed hereon will reflect the new design language.
'Fabia Monte Carlo'
As the company is celebrating 110 years of motorsports involvement in 2011, it will launch a special-edition Fabia variant named the 'Fabia Monte Carlo'. The car will feature a sport-oriented chassis, a different look courtesy black accessories and a different interior.
