Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650 BS6: Waiting Period March 2021

The BS6 Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 from Royal Enfield are some of the most desirable motorcycles under the Rs 3 lakh mark thanks to that sweet motor and their value-for-money proposition. It’s, in fact, the best selling motorcycle in the UK. So it’s not surprising that it’s one of the most sought-after products here in India too. That said, the demand for the bike exceeds its supply, leading to long waiting times. So if you’re planning to get one, here’s how long you’ll have to wait:

Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650 BS6: Waiting Period March 2021

Those residing in Chennai will have to wait a bit longer compared to the folks who put down a deposit for either of the 650cc twins last month. The wait time has now increased from 20-30 days to a month. Meanwhile, the waiting period for both bikes has reduced from 4 months to 30-45 days in Kolkata.

The Interceptor seems to be hot property in Bengaluru where the waiting period has increased from 2 months in February to 3-4 months in March. You can, however, get your hands on the Continental GT sooner if you plan to go the cafe racer way.

A recently leaked brochure image suggests both the BS6 Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 will soon receive new colours for 2021. These colours are likely to be introduced in India mid-way through the year.
