Royal Enfield’s Record Breaking FY2026

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is having its biggest moment yet. The ADV has clocked over 53% annual sales growth, with global volumes crossing 38,000 units this year. More importantly, it now leads its class in both India and Brazil, underlining just how far this once niche, purpose-built machine has come.

Since its 2016 debut, the Himalayan has steadily built a reputation for being a simple, go-anywhere motorcycle. The 450 that was launched in 2023, pushed it further into the mainstream, expanding its appeal beyond hardcore off-roaders to everyday riders. From daily commutes to cross-border rides, it’s carved out a unique space in the mid-size adventure bike segment.

Zooming out, Royal Enfield wrapped up FY26 with its highest-ever annual sales: 12,38,659 bikes, up 23% YoY. That’s also its second straight year crossing the 1 million mark – this time achieved in just 10 months. January 2026 alone saw over 1.04 lakh units (+14% YoY), while September 2025 set an all-time monthly record at 1.24 lakh units (+43%), mainly due to the revised GST rates on sub-350cc bikes. Over the year, domestic sales hit 11,07,343 units (+23%), with exports adding 1,31,316 units (+23%) across 80+ countries.

Bread And Butter

The 350cc range still forms the bulk of volumes, but the broader lineup has kept momentum steady. Exports are growing, especially in markets like Brazil, while capacity expansion at the Cheyyar plant signals confidence in sustained demand.
