The Polaris-owned company has set an “Elite” price tag for the limited edition motorcycle

Indian Motorcycle has finally launched its limited edition flagship, the Indian Roadmaster Elite in India today. The uber-premium cruiser will be brought in as CBU and is priced at a whopping Rs 48 lakh (ex-showroom), making it one of the most expensive motorcycles on sale in India. It goes up against the Harley-Davidson CVO Limited, which retails for Rs 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

So why the expensive price tag? Well, for starters, only 300 units will be available worldwide, out of which only one unit will be allocated to India, which is already sold. However, the company states that another unit will be made available soon. Each model will come with a custom dual-tone blue and black colour scheme, which according to Indian, is done by hand and can take up to 30 hours. If that's not exclusive enough for you, there's a 23-carat gold leaf Indian insignia on the fuel tank!

The Roadmaster Elite also boasts of some interesting features such as a Ride Command System, which lets you control and monitor vehicle data, fuel consumption, Bluetooth connectivity, Music controls and GPS. All this can be accessed via a 7-inch touchscreen system that works even with riding gloves on.

If that's not enough, you also get additional features such as a 300W premium audio system. In comparison, the Classic and the Standard Roadmaster pack 100w and 200w systems respectively. You also get dual-climate heated seats, heated grips, passenger armrests, a touring console, pinnacle mirrors and more!

Powering the limited edition motorcycle is the same engine that is seen on the standard model. This 1811cc 'Thunder-Stroke' V-Twin engine churns out peak 150Nm of torque at 2900rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox that transmits power to the rear wheel by a belt drive. Indian also offers lockable waterproof saddlebags and ABS as standard on the motorcycle.
